Rob Tynan, Head Coach Coach Tynan is in his 18th year as Joel Barlow High School's Head Coach. Coach Tynan also serves as the Head of Security and Winter and Spring Assistant Athletics Director at Coach Tynan continued his education at AIC and Sacred Heart University. Coach Tynan resides in Monroe with his wife Jacquey and their two daughters, Emily and Megan. Joining the Joel Barlow High School staff in 1988, Coach Tynan began as Assistant Football Coach then later rose to the Head Coach position. Matt Stragazzi, Assistant Coach Coach Stragazzi is in his 8th year as Joel Barlow High School's Quarterback and Defensive Backs Coach, and 6th year as the Offensive Coordinator. Coach Stragazzi is a memebr of the faculty at Joel Barlow High School as a Special Education teacher. Originally from Old Bridge, New Jersey, Coach Stragazzi graduated from Ramapo College in 1988 with a BS in Finance. Coach Stragazzi also graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a certification in Special Education. Coach Stragazzi resides in Redding with his wife Sarah. Ryan Swift, Assistant Coach Coach Swift is in his 6rd year as Joel Barlow High School's Assistant Coach. Coach Swift also serves as Special Education Paraprofessional at Joel Barlow High School. A Graduate of Joel Barlow High School in 1999, Coach Swift was captain of the 1999 Barlow Football Team during which they posted a winning 6-3-1 record. Coach Swift is a graduate of Keene State.
